Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (K.E.S.C)
Karachi Electric Supply Company aims to minimize its cost of inter-branch dialing by a significant percentage by introducing completely IP based communication using it's state of the art WAN network. To achieve this, Emergen Consulting implements a robust and scalable solution based on open source Asterisk PBX in more than 100 of its branches citywide. KESC now can make branch to branch calls at zero cost. The current size of the solution is 1700+ extensions with 12 PRIs with dual redundant servers. This solution has infinite scalability and can be integrated with industry standard call center solutions as well as video/voice conferencing solutions. |

National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL)
The NCCPL handles a critical function of Pakistan's stock exchange and wanted a robust and highly available infrastructure. Everything from their email, groupware, messaging, distributed storage to their identity management framework has been designed, deployed and managed by Emergen. Using an advanced agent-based network monitoring software, Emergen and NCCPL can collect detailed health statistics about individual applications running on their network, as downtime is a very expensive proposition in a financial clearing house. |

National Fullerton Asset Management Limited (NAFA)
National Fullerton Asset Management (NAFA), an investment management company and a joint venture of National Bank of Pakistan, Tamasek Holdings, Singapore and NIB Bank uses an Open Source Asterisk based PBX deployed by Emergen Consulting. Like any other investment management company, NAFA's internal communication system is extremely critical for them. It is imperative for NAFA to record all outgoing/incoming calls and maintain all data for a period of time specified by the regulatory authorities. Since its inception, NAFA has been using Emergen's PBX and over the past one year it has grown thrice the size and never came across any compatibility or scalability problems |

Dalda Foods Limited
Dalda Foods is the first and the only edible oils factory in Pakistan to have its own effluent treatment plant. It is also the only company which has ISO 9002 for Quality, ISO 14001 for Environment and OHSAS 18001 for Health and Safety Standards in this sector . In July 2004, Unilever Pakistan (previously Lever Brothers Pakistan Limited) decided to divest one of its strategic assets; the Dalda Brand, to Westbury Group in collaboration with Unilever Employee Welfare Group. The consortium formed an independent company under the name of Dalda Foods Private Limited. Dalda has been growing exponentially ever since it divested from its former principal. Their IT requirements have also been growing exponentially which in budgetary constraints. Emergen Consulting offered Dalda Foods to migrate completely to open source solutions to permanently address issues relating to expandability, robustness and security. The entire migration was devised in a way that during the first phase, Dalda's complete communication infrastructure would be revamped using open source technologies, particularly an IP based PBX; Asterisk. This will be followed by a complete infrastructure level migrations including all data center services and desktops to open source software. |
